Another glorious week ahead.
We have a fancy audit thing going on at work tomorrow, all of upper management are kacking their pants over it and running around like headless chickens in an attempt to get everyone ready.
As far as I am aware, failure means we don't get a special certificate or something like that. Not sure why they are pouring so much time and money into this, considering they are cutting our pay down to 'save costs' then they go and blow money on frivilous rubbish like this.
Guess you need to be upper management to understand that particular thought process.
My work on the models for Games Day Canada is coming to a close soon, almost finished, and all the packaging is ready to go.
Just need to get the shipping address and I should have it all off in the space of a week (if all goes well)
Also that means that there will actually be updates in here again, since all work came to a halt while I worked on this.
The wargames club I attend (South Auckland Warmongers) are going to be doing a wee campaign shortly, I've gone over the layout and it looks pretty sweet. Lots of fun to be had by all it would seem
I've been looking into the possibility of taking the Necromunda mantle back up again... it's been far too long since I really played that game. It's way to fun to be neglected so I have been trying to drum up some interest amongst the club and so far it seeems people are keen to give it a whirl
I see that Ophelia ophelias-overdose.deviantart.c… is looking at the idea of making a calendar for next year.
I'm normally not one for having a calendar, unless it's a full year wall planner, but her work is beautiful so I am most likely going to make an exception here.
I highly recommend checking out her galleries, that's one very talented german lass.
It's getting cold down here on the bottom of the world.
I've only really just started to notice it when I tried to go running in the mornings and it's actually getting too chilly to be out, even in a tracksuit.
Subsequently I have borrowed a workout book from my brother (a personal trainer) and so now I can keep my exercise in the comfort of my own living room during winter
Just need to get my hands on a swiss ball apparantly, but I know exactly where to get one big enough to support me.
It turns out that the computer troubles I was having before culminated in my motherboard totally crapping out and dying completely.
Went to the store and brought a very basic 2.6GHz dual core processor with 4 Gb of RAM which was an upgrade for me (I know; sad isn't it) but it works well enough so I'm pretty happy again.
New motherboard has only 1 IDE channel which is rather annoying, but there's not really a whole lot that can be done about it.
If I need my DVD rom or my media drive it currently involves shutting the PC down swapping cables around then restarting again.
A regular pain in the backside.
My Fiancee is about to finish off first somester of second year nursing.
Ohhh she's really not enjoying that much. Apparanlty Nursing is all about identifying what's wrong, but then not actually knowing what can be done about it.
Seems bloody strange to me, but whenever she goes studies a bit more than necessary or asks questions of the doctors and other medical staff she gets grilled for asking 'irrelevant' questions.
Oh noes, one of our students is trying to learn... stop her quick, before she destroys everything!
I should get my ass back to work I think, Sitting here at my desk, diligently typing out a journal entry does not get furniture dispatched out to customers
Meh, like I care much ^^
See you all again later on

You'll have to try harder than that!
It's been a long time...
I got lazy and have not uploaded any images in ages.
Still been here but watching instead of participating. Sometimes it's nice to sit back and enjoy the ride...
Currently doing a big upload of all the stuff I've finished since my last commission.
Also working on a new painting style for the Legion of Everblight army that I am planning on playing for the 2013 tournament season.
Games Workshop Presents: Douchebaggery 101.
Games Workshop has dropped a bomb.
The bomb in question isn't anything awesome like a Deathstrike Missile or Cyclonic Exterminatus warhead, but rather the new 'terms of service' for it's resellers in the UK.
Most notable victims of this particular bomb are Wayland Games and Maelstrom Games both are massive online stores that serve a huge portion of the globe.
They have managed to get so many loyal customers by supplying the goods we want and supplying them at reasonable prices.
As a comparison, I scored a Space Marine Attack Bike via Wayland games for £12.40 which translates to NZ$25.89
The same product for sale here in NZ from Game
Police Schenanegins...
Seems the fuzz here in NZ are now getting away with murder. Literally! http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10723708
To break it down:
Cop leaves a party in a patrol car (WTF the 1st) while leaving people see him using his cell phone while driving. (Illegal in NZ)
Short time later the cop receives a text message, 23 seconds later he hits & kills a 16 year old pedestrian and injures his brother.
The Officer in question faces no charges whatsoever and is still on the force.
Worst of all, this is just the latest in a long line of Police related incidents.

Astrology: Fun and stupidity.
So... Hands up who saw this little gem?
To summarise, someone ran a news article without doing their homework...
They claimed that due to changes in how Earth revolves around the sun there was now a 13th star sign to be added and dates of existing star signs will shift.
Mass panic ensued throughout various social networking systems and the true scope of our species stupidity showed it's face once more.
No one who reads/watches the news seems to have clicked that 'Journalistic Integrity' doesn't really exist any more and you need to check the sources of EVERY bit of information you're given to screen it's accuracy. You know... to avoid loo
