So after the whole breakup thing (Which sucks BTW... avoid if possible) I had a lot of spare time on my hands.
I figured I would do some painting though in the early stages it was a little hit and miss since I was quite an emotional mess and could rarely sit down for more than a few minutes without breaking down.

It's been around 2 months now and I'm feeling a little better and I can function normally most of the time.

And now I have completed my first project since and I am delighted with it :)

In other general news, I have had my place of work moved...
Where I was had the lease expire, and the landlord apparently wanted to up the rent quite a lot and the company I work for decided that they would just consolidate operations to their super warehouse.
Makes sense from a business standpoint, but it is a logistical nightmare because they super warehouse is in what is dubbed the 'business ghetto of NZ'
I am speaking of Highbrook Business Park.
Who builds a business park development next to a suburb with one of the highest poverty rates in the country and is rather infamous for crimes like graffiti, theft and vandalism?
Well, some genius did and my work decided to put a building there.
If that lot wasn't enough the place just happens to be a bloody long trek from where I live.
Personally I don't appreciate having my travel expenses triple on me so I am looking for another job closer to home.

I don't really care what the job is because...

I am planning on moving to Australia!
Shortly after my birthday in February I plan on packing my bags and skipping the country (more or less) forever!
Of course I am going to make sure I have employment there BEFORE I leave.
I've heard numerous good things about the mining industry and how much they pay along with the working hours/days and it seems like a pretty good deal to jump on even if it's only for a few years to build up a decent cash reservoir.

I also splurged out and upgraded my OS to windows 7 and it is terribly nice to finally have a 64 bit OS :)
In many cases there aren't too many differences until you want to push your machine and have it doing a bazillion things at once, then it's rather cool how it can harness all that juicy RAM I threw at it :D
